I see brides and grooms nearly every time I go to Central Park. But I really wasn’t expecting to see them on a particularly cold day last week. After I’d taken all my photos I had to escape into the subway station just so my hands would stop aching and stinging, it was that cold! You wouldn’t have known it was the middle of winter though, looking at this couple. They posed and had fun at the Bethesda Fountain in Central Park, not showing so much as a shiver to bystanders. I was lucky enough to catch the dip and the kiss. A few moments after, also near the fountain, a man asked his girlfriend to marry him. It really was a beautiful moment and I was happy to be able to witness it. Normally I would’ve felt intrusive taking photos but there were so many other people doing it that I didn’t look out of place with my camera. Afterwards, I spent some more time taking photos in the park, but the cold got the better of me in the end and I couldn’t wait to return to my warm apartment.
