Tulum, Mexico
I recently returned from an amazing trip to Playa del Carmen, Mexico. I spent 5 days there and visited the Mayan ruins (Chitzen Itza & Tulum), went snorkeling with the turtles and soaked up the nightlife. Playa del Carmen is 45 minutes south of Cancun, and has a distinct European flavor. The beaches are beautiful and the people are so friendly. I couldn’t get enough of the delicious food, and if you head north a couple of blocks from the touristy Fifth Avenue, the food is a lot cheaper and you can mix with the locals.
