I first came across this recipe when I had a dinner party to go to and I needed something that was quick and easy. I very rarely use box mixes, I prefer to do my baking from scratch, but when I’m in a time crunch, I have no problem using one! The brownies turned out so well and everyone raved about them, that I’ve made them several times since. I love these brownies!!! Recipe below.
S’mores Brownies
Ingredients:
1 package of Brownie mix
6 graham crackers
2 cups of miniature marshmallows
6 regular sized bars of Hersheys milk chocolate (I’ve used both plain and milk chocolate with almonds)
Method:
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Prepare brownie mix according to directions. Spread into a greased 9×13 inch pan.
2. In a medium bowl, break graham crackers into half-inch pieces and combine with miniature marshmallows and chocolate. Set aside.
3. Bake brownie mix for suggested time, taking them out of the oven 5 minutes before they’re done. Place the s’mores mixture evenly over the top. Return to oven to bake for another 5 minutes. Allow to cool and cut into squares.
*Tip: If you an insert a toothpick at the end of baking and it doesn’t come out clean, you can cover the brownies with tin foil to prevent the marshmallows from getting too brown.
