These Hazelnut Cherry Brownies have it all: they’re super fudgy, ultra decadent and are filled with crunchy hazelnuts and sour cherries. Brownies are one of my favourite treats, when they’re done right. And by ‘right’ I mean they’re chewy, fudgy, with an intense chocolate flavour. Some people prefer cakey brownies, but they’re definitely not my…

Ultimate Cheesecake Brownies
These Ultimate Cheesecake Brownies combine the richest fudgy brownie with a decadent layer of cream cheese. Not only do they make an eye-catching dessert, but they are easy to make.
I am not exaggerating when I say these are the ‘Ultimate’ cheesecake brownies. The brownie layer is thick and chewy and so rich in chocolate flavour. Dark chocolate and cocoa powder are mixed with a touch of espresso powder to heighten the chocolate flavour. If you’re not a coffee fan, don’t worry: you won’t taste the coffee in the finished brownie. The brownie is then topped with a layer of creamy cheesecake, for the most indulgent dessert.
Dulce De Leche Brownies
In the brownie world there are two distinct types: the fudge kind and the cake kind. If you are like me, and fudge brownies are your thing, then you are going to need to make this recipe! Over the years I’ve tried all sorts of brownie recipes, and had issues such as the brownies being too flat, too dry, or not chocolatey enough. This recipe has none of these issues, and the addition of gooey dulche de leche really takes these brownies over the top, into new territory.
A traditional dessert that originated in South America, dulce de leche directly translates to ‘sweet of milk’ in English. It can be used as a filling, a topping or enjoyed straight from the jar. Because who doesn’t enjoy sneaking spoonfuls of caramel while nobody is looking?!
Christmas Tree Brownies
This past weekend I had a Christmas party at my place and I wanted to make a dessert that was festive and easy for people to grab and eat. These adorable brownie trees are perfect for placing on a platter. The brownies are rich and fudgy, with chocolate chips and miniature marshmallows to take them to a 10 out of 10. The green swirl is created using candy melts, sprinkles are the trees decorations, and the candy cane serves as the trees trunk.
Brookies
I first ordered the Clinton St. Baking Company cookbook when I was back in New Zealand. I had never been to New York, let alone the restaurant, but I was looking for new cookbooks and this one caught my eye. Now, fast-forward to 4 years later and I am now living in New York, and…
Almond Joy Brownies
I had a bag of fun-size Almond Joy bars sitting in the cupboard, waiting for me to bake something with them. After craving chocolate in a big way, I decided to go the simple route with them: place them on top of brownies. Not just your average brownie, mind you. These had to be super…
Symphony Brownies
So after months of planning and organizing my visa to come back to New York, I’m finally back and it feels amazing! I love this city so much. Of course I’m back in the kitchen and these brownies are the first thing I made upon my return. Hershey’s Symphony has to be one of my…
Nutella Pretzel Brownies
I am a huge fan of brownies and Nutella, so when I saw this recipe I had to try it out. These brownies have a pretzel base, with Nutella mixed into the brownie batter and then used as a frosting. They were delicious! The base held together well, didn’t crumble as some bases do, and…
S’mores Brownies
I first came across this recipe when I had a dinner party to go to and I needed something that was quick and easy. I very rarely use box mixes, I prefer to do my baking from scratch, but when I’m in a time crunch, I have no problem using one! The brownies turned out…
