I had heard good things about Bianca, an Italian restaurant in NoHo. Word on the street is they make hearty, home-style Italian food that doesn’t come with a hefty price tag. So I was excited to try it out this past Sunday. My friend and I both got the same dish: Tagliolini ai Frutti di Mare ($14) with clams, mussels, shrimp & calamari sauteed in garlic, extra-virgin olive oil and a light tomato sauce. The seafood was plentiful, however the sauce was not, but they quickly rectified this and brought out extra sauce as well as some Pecorino cheese. This instantly elevated the dish from a 6 to a 9, and I really enjoyed my meal. The flavors were fresh and simple, just how Italian food should be. I can’t wait to try their other dishes. Note that it’s cash only.
