The other night, a friend and I were looking around Hell’s Kitchen for somewhere to have dinner and we liked the look of 44 & X so decided to investigate the menu. The dinner menu is quite extensive, with many dishes sounding good to me so it took me a little while to choose, but I finally settled on the Pan Roasted Mahi Mahi with Maine Lobster and Diver Scallop Risotto with Green Garlic and Carrot Reduction ($34). It was love at first bite! The fish was well seasoned and tender, and the lobster and scallop risotto was the most delicious accompaniment. The only downside to the meal was that I was so full once I finished that I didn’t have any room for the strawberry rhubarb pie that was on the dessert menu. But that just gives me an excuse to go back!
