If you’re familiar with Little Bird Organics, you’ll know that each and every item on their menu is delicious. I’ve been making a point of trying something new from their dessert cabinet each time I go, and this time it was the Strawberry Cheesecake & the Passionfruit Cheesecake (both $9/slice). One of the best things about Summer is the fruit available, especially strawberries (my favourite!) and Little Bird is really taking advantage in their dessert selection. Both cheesecakes were light but still rich in flavour.
Strawberry Cheesecake
The drink special for that day was Turmeric Cinnamon Milk ($6/glass). I was intrigued by the ingredient combination so we got two of these to go with our dessert. The milk is made up of fresh almond milk, fresh turmeric, ginger, bee pollen, vanilla, cinnamon, cardamom, nutmeg, black pepper and coconut nectar. Served warm, and with optional coconut sugar to sprinkle on top, the ingredients all worked well together to create a certainly different but pleasant, healthy drink.
