The other morning I was forced to grab breakfast on the run before going to work (which is very rare for me) so of course I went with an almond croissant. I had heard that the French bakery Ceci Cela has some of the best croissants in the city so I got one and was not disappointed with their almond version ($3.75). The crust was flaky and crispy, the interior tender and moist, with pure almond flavor coming from the marzipan in the center. An almond croissant at its best.
